Space Shuttle Discovery Launch

After several delays, the Space Shuttle Discovery was launched this past Sunday evening. The weather here in Savannah was overcast so we did not gather enmass at the Tybee Island Pier like we did last time. However, Kevin (WD0GFG) did make the trip out to the pier since he lives fairly close over on Wilmington Island. He was rewarded for his efforts as he witnessed the launch as the shuttle cleared the horizon. He was also able to copy some of the air to ground radio communications on his Pro-96 Digital Scanner. Also hearing several transmissions from the shuttle were Mac (KF4LMT), Dan (KF4MND), and myself (K4GTM).
